What are the classification of PM high speed steel?

It is not said that the classification of PM high-speed steel is not classified. It is actually classified as ordinary high-speed steel, which is divided into a tungsten system and molybdenum systems. However, in the manufacturing process, unlike traditional high-speed steel, PFM high-speed steel is molten steel melted from a high-frequency induction furnace, and then crystallized powder is obtained by jet cooling with high-pressure gas, and then the obtained powder is obtained at high temperature and high pressure The tool blank is pressed down, or the billet is formed first, then forged and rolled into the shape of the tool.

Characteristics of PM high speed steel:

1. The hardness value of the steel is 69-70hrc.

2. The microstructure is very fine and uniform and has no directionality, which reduces the stress and deformation in heat treatment.

3. The heat treatment size is stable with the result of continuous and stable heat treatment.

4. The grinding efficiency is 2-3 times higher than that of smelting high speed steel.

5. Good wear resistance.

6. The cost is high, and the price is equivalent to that of cemented carbide. Therefore, the main application scope is to manufacture complex tools.

7. It is suitable for manufacturing tools, large-size tools (such as hobs and gear cutters), precision tools, and complex tools with large grinding capacity.
